Scope of Work
Performed:
Before work
began, all roof
areas received
an infrared roof
scan to
determine wet
areas in the
existing roof
systems. A
map with the
results of the
infrared scan
was then
forwarded to the
Owner and then
confirmed with
test cuts and
marked on the
roof for ease of
recognition.
All wet areas
were removed and
replaced with
new material to
match existing
roof height and
membrane
materials.
Each roof was
power washed
with 8500
Biodegradable
Cleaner and
allowed to dry.
All seams were
examined and
patched as
required with
86218 Flashing
Tape with the
balance of the
seams receiving
a treatment of
7419-HB and
Tietex fabric
for
reinforcement.
After
preparation, the
Elasta-Gard SP
Roof System was
installed.
Project
Overview:
The facility
manager, Lynn
McLean had the
foresight to
notice that now
was the time to
try and prolong
the life of the
existing roofing
systems instead
of waiting a few
more years and
incurring an
expensive cost
of total
tear-off and
replacement.
The white energy
star rated and
sustainable
Elasta-Gard SP
system looks
great and is the
result of
quality
workmanship by
Butcher &
Baecker's crew.
Upon completion
of the project,
all the crew
wanted to know
is "when is the
next one"?
Many thanks to
those involved
in making this
project a
reality.
