PEDESTRIAN SYSTEM AT LAS VEGAS AIRPORT
WITHSTANDS YEARS OF TRAFFIC

The lights of Las Vegas shine bright across the dessert sky drawing millions of travelers every year to its many resorts and casinos.  The majority of these visitors come to Las Vegas through the gates of McCarran International Airport.  To ensure the safety of travelers while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing design, Clark County Airport System selected NEOGARD’s pedestrian traffic-bearing waterproofing system, Peda-Gard II, to preserve the main terminal walkways.

Peda-Gard II provides the skid-resistant surface necessary for pedestrian traffic while offering a durable waterproofing protection.  Peda-Gard II can be specifically designed to meet the demands of specifiers and owners on a job-by-job basis such as odor-free, solvent-free, and heavy-duty if chemical exposure and heavy traffic patterns are a concern.  The checkerboard design of the Peda-Gard II system at McCarran International Airport is one example of the design flexibility of this system.

Technicoat Waterproofing Specialists, a part of NEOGARD’s international network of licensed applicators, covered approximately 30,000-sq. ft. of walkways at McCarran.  Technicoat specializes in high tech performance coatings, wearing surfaces for pedestrian traffic and vehicular traffic as well as new and existing roofs.
